Meat Ethel!

Meet “Ethel,” our 4-year-old Black Angus heifer who is not only stunningly beautiful but also an exceptional mother. The Black Angus breed has a rich history dating back to the 1800s in Scotland, where they were originally bred for their meat quality and hardiness. Today, Black Angus is one of the most popular breeds worldwide due to its consistent marbling, tenderness, and versatility in different production systems. At Tri-Maples Farm, we’re proud to raise Black Angus cattle that embody these qualities, with Moo-Vella being a prime example. She’s a gentle giant, known for her friendly demeanor and dedication to her calves. Moo-Vella has been raising her current batch of calves with patience and care, ensuring they’re well-fed and content. Her milk production is top-notch, and she’s passed on these desirable traits to her offspring. When you taste the beef from Moo-Vella and her fellow Black Angus herd mates, you can taste the difference in quality and consistency – it’s no wonder why we’re renowned for producing some of the finest beef in the region!
